The ripe Harvest Moon moves through emotional Pisces as she approaches opposition to the Sun, exact just after midnight tonight at 12:33 EDT.
This juicy Pisces Full Moon is the culmination of the new Virgo Moon of August 30. She shines the reflected light of the Sun on a complex web of communication among the planets, asking us to reflect on our time in Virgo season and to harvest the fruits of our labor.
At 11:11 AM EDT, Mercury joins Venus in the penultimate degree of Virgo where they talk over in detail the work they’ve accomplished since late August and assisting us in our own reviews.
By this time tomorrow, both planets will have moved from Mercury-ruled Virgo into Venus-ruled Libra. Our hearts and minds will shift away from work and productivity toward matters of love and partnership.
The Virgo Sun moves into an easy trine with Pluto in Capricorn this afternoon, allowing you to delve deeply into the work. Today is a good day to let your boss see just how much you’ve done. The higher-ups will be impressed.
Mars approaches opposition to Neptune, exact at 1:25 AM EDT. The tension between the two is intense. Mars wants to cut through all the red tape and mountains of tasks and ACT! while Neptune dreams creative fantasies of expansion and says, “Who cares about all that boring stuff anyway?”
This morning the Pisces Moon receives a steadying hand from Saturn, who administers a dose of reality.
But by the end of the workday on the east coast, the Moon will square Jupiter, oppose Mars, and join with Neptune, plunging us headlong into the epic tension among these three planets. Now we are fully emotionally enmeshed, either joining forces with Mars, going over-the-top with Jupiter, melding with Neptune, or landing somewhere in the middle.
Just before midnight, the Moon (and we) are emboldened by Pluto to stand in our power as she opposes the Sun.
So where do you stand at this Full Moon? What do you have to show for your Virgoan efforts?
