The waning balsamic Moon moves through almost-empty Leo today, talking with no other planets at all. The Moon is never especially comfortable in Leo, the land of the Sun. It’s bright and hot and dry here, and the Moon, ruler of Cancer, likes things dark, cool, and moist. Those of us with strong Moons (planets or angles in Cancer) might not love Leo time as much as Sun-ruled folks!
Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, is near the end of Leo, and the Sun, ruler of Leo, is newly in Virgo. This is called ‘mutual reception’ when two planets each occupy the other’s home turf. They work together well in this condition, each having a clear understanding of the other.
As a result, we’re in a bit of a crossover period - Virgo is feeling a bit leonine until early Thursday when Mercury enters Virgo. Then Virgo season will be truly underway.
Here in Vermont, school starts tomorrow and our local fair is in full swing. So hit the fair today! Ride some rides, eat junk food, and play like a kid for this last blast of summer.
